Starting from the definition of Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER), this workshop will focus on key elements in planning an observational CER. Types of design, exposure and outcome measurement and comparator selection will be outlined from a methodological perspective. Examples of observational CER will be presented.

Lucia obtained a MS degree in Statistics and a PhD in Population Genetics. She has been working in MediNeos since 2003 and she is currently manager of Clinical Data Management and Biostatistics. She has deep experience in designing studies and in the validation process of PROs. She is author of several scientific publications and lectures both at national and international congresses.
